ABOUT

I’m Regina Stephanie, the traveller, dreamer, and storyteller behind Regina’s Reel. My passion for discovering new places, cultures, and stories has led me to explore the world in ways I never imagined. I started this blog to share not only the beautiful sights I encounter but also the unforgettable moments, lessons, and reflections that come with each adventure.
My Travel Journey
Growing up, I was always fascinated by the idea of exploring the unknown. I spent countless hours with my head in a book, dreaming about the world, knowing there was so much to see—and knowing I would one day visit.
I travelled quite consistently as a child with my family, whether back home to Nigeria or to visit family in America. However, those family holidays were nothing compared to what I imagined was out there. I was a child, and all I knew at the time was that holidays = warm weather.
Everything changed in 2018 when a friend’s suggestion led me to a EU program – Erasmus + (Bloody Brexit really ruined things for us Brits, man), and I found myself living in Seville, Spain for three months. That experience was my true initiation into travel—since then, the world has been my playground.
Travel, I’ve discovered, is far more than ticking destinations off a list. It’s about human connection, understanding diverse ways of life, and continuously pushing personal boundaries. These profound experiences are the heartbeat of my storytelling on Regina’s Reel—each journey a chapter, each encounter a lesson.

What You Can Expect Here
On this blog, you’ll find detailed guides, personal stories, and reflections from my travels. I dive deep into the cultures I visit, offering you a real look at what it’s like to walk in someone else’s shoes for a while.
As a Black British digital nomad, I created this blog because I found that, when I began my nomadic journey in 2023, there weren’t many Black Brits sharing their nomadic stories. I wanted to be that for the next me. Thankfully, since I began my journey, there has been a surge in voices like mine, and I’ve been fortunate to build a community with other Black Brits, as well as travellers from all walks of life. That being said, I realised that my voice was still important for the next me, so here we are.
Whether you’re looking for travel tips, destination ideas, or just a little bit of inspiration, I hope you find something that resonates with you.
I’m all about authenticity—what you see on this blog is the real me. I share the ups, the downs, and everything in between because let’s face it, no adventure is perfect. But it’s those imperfections that make it all worthwhile, don’t you think?
Why “Regina’s Reel”?
The name Regina’s Reel represents my deep love for capturing and sharing moments through pictures and video. As a lifelong creative, storytelling has always been at the heart of what I do. Whether it’s through fashion editorials, media projects, or my travel docs, I’ve always found joy in transforming experiences into visual narratives.
When I started travelling, it felt natural to document my adventures through photos and videos—not just as memories, but as stories that others could connect with. Like a reel of film unspooling, this blog became a place where snapshots of life turn into stories worth sharing.
My goal is to give you a glimpse of the world through my eyes—and maybe, just maybe, inspire you to embark on your own journey. Whether you’re travelling across the globe or exploring your own backyard, we all have stories waiting to be told.

My Professional Journey
But just as things were settling into a rhythm, I made a pivot that took me out of my comfort zone. I traded the world of media for the transport industry, taking a role with the Elizabeth Line (before it even opened to the public) in search of something more “stable.” The perks were tempting, the stability reassuring—but it wasn’t my purpose. My soul felt like it was slowly withering in a place that wasn’t truly me. So, after a lot of soul-searching, I returned to my roots—media.
That’s when I joined Hearst UK as a Media Planning Manager, working on some of my favourite titles like Cosmopolitan, Men’s Health, Women’s Health, and Elle. This role was a deep dive into the advertising world, giving me invaluable insights into how campaigns come to life across both digital and print platforms. It was a time of growth, learning the ins and outs of media planning, and it reignited my passion for storytelling and connecting with audiences.
During this period, I also ventured into entrepreneurship. Calle Coral, my production company, was born in Seville while I was still at GUAP—just before I joined the Elizabeth Line. It was a leap of faith, a way to channel my passion for storytelling in a new direction.
Life Post Remote Year
After my whirlwind adventure with RY, I dove into a new chapter with The Jaiy Agency, my Digital Business Management business. The Jaiy Agency is all about podcast management and marketing—helping brands and creators amplify their voices and reach. Seeing podcasts come to life and grow their audience is honestly such a vibe, and I love being part of that journey from strategy to launch.
But I didn’t stop there. I’ve also jumped into the world of UGC (User-Generated Content) creation, teaming up with brands to create real, relatable, and engaging content. It’s all about crafting content that feels authentic and connects with people on a deeper level.
And let’s not forget Calle Coral! (Yep, I still run my production company, and we’ve taken it internationally!) What started as a passion project in Seville has now evolved into a global venture, bringing creative projects to life in different corners of the world. Managing CC has been a wild ride, and I love seeing how our work resonates across diverse audiences.

Cape Town South Africa! I’ve wanted to visit for the longest and I just know Table Mountain will stunning.
What is your favourite Destination?
Bali! (Or should I say Indonesia in general) I had to really think about this but since I’ve been nomadic most of my favourite moments seem to be attached with this little island!
Travel pet peeve?
I really hate when people recline their seats during takeoff and landing. (First of all, can we all act like we’ve been here before?) And then without checking or during meals?! It’s just rude!! HAVE SOME CONSIDERATION!!
What is your favourite way to explore a new city?
By bike! If it’s possible for me to access a bike service like a Sevici bike in Seville or a Valenbisi in Valencia I’m definitely doing it and riding around!
What song is always on your travel playlist?
“Golden” by Jill Scott—instant good vibes wherever I go.
What do you always have on your Kindle?
Anything by A.E. Valdez. But A Worthy Love is my favourite book by her and I literally have the book downloaded along with the audiobook so I can get fully immersed!
Beyond Travel: My Lifestyle Reel
While Regina’s Reel is rooted in travel, it’s also a space where I share pieces of my life beyond the passport stamps. Expect to find stories about my favourite books, mouth-watering food and drink recommendations, personal musings, and of course—music.
Music was my first love. Before stepping into the world of fashion, I was a music writer at GUAP, where I got to immerse myself in the sounds that move us. Music still shapes my travels and my life in general—it’s the soundtrack behind every adventure.
Whether I’m sharing playlists inspired by cities I’ve explored, writing about a book I couldn’t put down, or reflecting on life’s unexpected twists, this space is a glimpse into all the things that fuel my creative soul.
